After I manually restart syslog with: cd /etc/init.d;./syslog restart the messages flow into /var/log/messages again. So I would say there has been no change. I think I noted that rsyslog does log remotely also, so I can capture the messages on my syslog message archiver system. However, it does not write to the local /var/log/messages. Other openSUSE 12.1 systems seem to do this okay, so perhaps this system needs a reboot to fix it? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
