https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=395275 Summary: bad audio latency for apps (particularly games) using pulseaudio Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wberrier@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- This goes for games routed through alsa as well as sdl's pulse audio output. To fix this, I had to replace the values in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf with these: default-fragments = 8 default-fragment-size-msec = 5 But I've read that those values will vary from soundcard to soundcard, and I don't have any other soundcards :( So I'm unfortunately not sure what can be done about it... but, it looks like the next version of pulseaudio (the glitch-free branch) will fix this issue. My soundcard: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB High Definition Audio Controller (rev 09) If anything... this report can be a reference of what to try if latency is bad. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
