I did a fresh Tumbleweed installation, but system hanged after first reboot with error related to amdgpu driver. System could only boot with nomodeset kernel option. I noticed that kernel-firmware was not installed. Issue was fixed by manual package installation.
TW version was 20170904, installation was done via network with net iso image. It happened during custom package installation and also when full Gnome installation was selected.
Zypper history is attached.
Could you please check where kernel-firmware is missing as dependency? As far as I remember, it never happened before during fresh installation.
