I've just checked with KDE Font Installer (as root), and all the fonts seem to be there, including the MS fonts (I can't tell if those fonts are the one I had under openSUSE 11.1 before upgrading or if fetchmsttfonts has re-installed the MS fonts).
To check this, I removed the 'fetchmsttfonts' and 'pullin-msttf-fonts' packages, and now, the MS fonts are gone from /usr/share/fonts/truetype So the font were in fact added by fetchmsttfonts, but somehow the system does not see/use them. (?) While removing those packages, I saw warning messages saying something like some Japanese/Chinese/? fonts were not found and could cause Java to not work properly (sorry, I haven't noted down the messages exactly).
