http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528847 Summary: Yast doesn't tell about wrong url entered for a software repository Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 4 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: friesoft@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.1.0) Gecko/20090623 SUSE/3.5.0-4.6 Firefox/3.5 When I wanted to add the factory repository to my repos I thought it was this url: http://download.opensuse.org/factory/oss First it appeared in the list with "Activated" and "Automatically update" unchecked.. I checked those.. It started updating.. and updated and updated.. until I pressed cancel.. The entry was gone.. I tried adding it again in the believe the link was correct.. it doesn't appear anymore in the list.. I now know, that the link was not correct but I was made to believe it was because there was no error message.. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start yast, open the repository manager 2. Add repository with wrong url, you'll see it gets added 3. Try enabling it - it will hang until you cancel it 4. Add it again 5. Say bye bye to newly added repo entry :D Actual Results: No messagebox about the wrong url and no repo has been added (which is correct imho) .. just the failure indicator is missing -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
