This one is getting it's IP via DHCP - no static routing here. However, starting a software update resulted in "erratic checksum of index file XXX of repository YYY" don't remember the exact wording, but from a meaning standpoint. (ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse, huge German mirror) Starting update suddenly stopped at a ceratain file - I interrupted, restarted, always got moaning about the file having an erratic checksum. Did an ifdown eth0 / ifup eth0, and, guess what? Suddenly things worked like a charm. No checksum error any more. Fast and issue-free download. So, two _entirely_ independent networks, _entirely_ independent network configurations but a similar issue (well, to be honest, my conclusion is rather a guess than knowledge ...). Seriously, I wonder whether or not I am really the only person struggling with networking issues on 11.4 Thank you for looking into this, take care Dieter Jurzitza -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
