What do the commands (run all as root) # lsusb # sane-find-scanner # scanimage -L # grep -v '^#' /etc/sane.d/dll.conf output? Please attach the output as MIME type "text/plain" to this bug. Also try out if the current package "sane-backends" from its openSUSE development project "graphics" works for you. The latest RPM changelog entry therein is: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Mar 20 15:44:31 UTC 2012 - jslaby@suse.de - re-add support for USB scanners ------------------------------------------------------------------- I guess your scanner is connected via USB and it seems USB support in sane-backends was temporarily lost.
