https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=788031 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=788031#c0 Summary: Daylight Savings Time did not adjust Nov 4, 2012 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: tonysu@su-networking.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 As described, first time in all my years using openSUSE, daylight savings adjustment did not happen automatically Don't know if this is a kernel issue, am unsure what system component relates to date/time system clock. Although below I note a kded problem, it may or may not be relevant. Since I have been using this same hardware for many years, I doubt that this is a BIOS issue unless something new "just happened." Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Should adjust automatically Actual Results: Still on Daylight (Summer) time. Expected Results: Should have "gained" an hour setting the clock back an hour. Don't know if this might be associated with a widely reported kded crash problem, earlier today when the machine is put into "sleep" mode, kded always crashes and does not run when the machine is "awoken." the system has been rebooted but although the system does not seem to be suffering from kded power releated problems, running kded from the command line still results in "Aborted" which I don't know if is normal. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
