It can be downloaded from the server as https://<vmware-server-address>/ui/plugin/mozilla/linux/vmware-mks.xpi To install the plugin, the user has to unzip this package into his or her own plugins directory. The plugin requires libexpat0 to be installed on the system. The purpose of the plugin is to provide remote console functionality for virtual machines running in the vmware server. To use the plugin the user logs into the Web Access interface using the browser with his or her credentials, picks one of the available machines and opens the "Console" tab. If using the stock version of firefox from mozilla.com the user will see the virtual console. With the firefox provided by the OpenSUSE distribution, the user will see a white screen instead. Since vmware plugin is closed source it is not clear how to debug this issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install vmware-mks plugin 2. Log into Web Access on a vmware server with firefox 3. Choose an available virtual machine from the sidebar 4. Open "Console" tab Actual Results: A blank white screen shows up in the console window Expected Results: A virtual console window as can be seen by installing stock firefox from mozilla.com -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
