It appears as if a mode change is required for KDE to get notified of a FB size change. This doesn't happen in GNOME. Problem was observed on multiple systems using the Radeon and fglrx drivers. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Steps to reproduce: - in KDE 4 open a terminal window - enter command "xrandr --fb <size>" where <size> is bigger than the current Alternative steps to reproduce: - in KDE 4 open a terminal window - enter command "xrandr --output <output> --panning <size>" where <output> is a connected monitor and <size> is bigger than the monitor's current mode Actual Results: - workspace is not resized - if panning, screen is black beyond the original workspace size - if desktop effects are enabled, the contents of terminal window stop updating Expected Results: - workspace is resized to match the new FB size or panning region The problem was observed on openSUSE 11.3 and also 11.2. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
