https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=416544 Summary: When accessibility is enabled in Gnome, Yast2 windows output an error when closed. Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: d@digitaldarragh.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Novell Technical Services When Accessibility is enabled in Gnome, the GTK version of Yast2 seems to be very unreliable. The errors I've found are: 1. When you close a window, for example online update configuration, a dialogue appears with an error. I am unable to read this error as I depend on the Orca screen reader to obtain the output and this dialogue is not accessible. This happened in 10.3 also. 2. Yast2 is not compatible with Orca's flat review mode. Note, this is not an Orca bug as flat review works in any other application. On a desktop keyboard, while in yast, try reading the screen using the flat review mode using 7, 8 and 9 for next, current and previous lines respectively. You will not hear any speech. 3. In the software update or software management screens, arrowing through the list of packages does not work with Orca. Orca will not speak each list item. This issue seems to be widespread in Yast2 as the list view in the repository configuration window will also not speak. 4. This is more of a usability issue. When a user presses enter on the software button on the left to focus on the options within the software section, keyboard focus does not change. Sorry for submitting this as one bug report however the accessibility of Yast2 although a welcome edition to OpenSuSE requires a lot of improvement before usable by general users. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
