Several uppercase letters render bold at this size, making the text ugly. This is a proprietary, closed-source font [2] so the rendering problem cannot be corrected; and such a product should not be promoted by the open source community. According to the style sheet provided by the site, the only preferred font is "Lucida Grande" that is NOT BUNDLED with openSUSE. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tell Mozilla Firefox to visit openFATE [1]. 2. Read the opening paragraph. 3. Tell KCharSelect to show the rendering of the basic Latin character set using the font "Trebuchet MS" 2 pt. Actual Results: 2. ([X] means X looks bold) openF[A]TE is the openSUSE community interface to the Feature- and Requirements [M]anagement System of openSUSE and [N]ovell's Linux Business. It opens the process of product planning. (the effective font size is 16px) 3. The following glyphs are disturbed: M and N (bold) and A (demibold). Expected Results: 2. openFATE is the openSUSE community interface to the Feature- and Requirements Management System of openSUSE and Novell's Linux Business. It opens the process of product planning. 3. All glyphs should have visually equal weight (in this case, 1px since most glyphs are hairline). ___ [1] <URL: https://features.opensuse.org/ > [2] <URL: file:///usr/share/doc/corefonts/EULA.html > -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
