https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461638 Summary: gnome-do 0.6.0 is known to cause hard system freezes; please upgrade to 0.6.1 Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: saarmstrong@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Please see this upstream bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/do/+bug/270437 And this blog post by the original maintainer, warning users away from 0.6.0.x: http://blog.davebsd.com/2008/09/16/a-cautionary-word-about-gnome-do-06/ With 0.6.0.x, users were suffering crippling system freezes caused by CPU and memory issues (when Do freezes it is much more crippling than most frozen apps, I guess because of input grabbing or something?). Anyway, this is all fixed in 0.6.1, and there are some packages for that in Mono:Community, so I really hope we can push this update out to 11.1 users. This type of freeze could make 11.1 look like an unstable mess. ;-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
