https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=291324 Summary: Sysinfo Screen does not show software raid information Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 5 Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: rccj@ricreig.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Created an attachment (id=150828) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=150828) hwinfo --disk Because of another bug with DMRaid (reported elsewhere) requiring raid45 and raid456 module not providing this, I temporarily gave up attempting to configure fake-raid DMraid 5 and configured my 4 drive SATA set as a MD Raid 5 software raid set sucessfully and have loaded it with almost 1 TB of data repeatedly to test for speed and reliability. My goal is to still make the fake-raid function, but for now, this has to suffice. When I press the 'My Computer' icon on my desktop, I get a very nice display showing my system resources (attachment). However, my MD0 software raid is not attached. If I use the kcmdf desktop applet to show disk usage, it does show the raid array correctly (also in the attached screenshot). Attached also is my hwinfo --disk. The motherboard is an ASUS M2NPV-VM with hardware fake-raid support turned on in bios but not recognized by SUSE (though DMRaid sees it fine were it not for the above mentioned raid45 bug). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
