http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=499967 Summary: Deletion problems on XFS partition Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jlutz@fastmail.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.64 (X11; Linux i686; U; en) Presto/2.1.1 Problem seen in both 11.0 and 11.1, GNOME, across a few installs. / is a 25GB XFS partition, 4GB used at the moment off an install a day ago. Now, as soon as I install openSUSE, I experience this problem: the file operations dialog will freeze when I try to delete an ISO file, or a few thousand file directory like a source tree. Nothing on the progress bar, ever. If I cancel it, the dialog stays up. This will happen if I delete and then try to empty the trash, or if I shift-del from Nautilus. In the former, the trash icon is empty when I reboot. In the latter, I reboot and find still existing the directory I ordered deleted and a text file in it, but the ISO within is gone. That said, I reinstalled because this partition somehow became full. I can't imagine a legitimate reason for because it's just openSUSE and home (which was 1.7GB).
