https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=476503 Summary: stunnel 4.25 has missing directory and does not stop Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: asvetter@cip.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-0.1 Firefox/3.0.6 stunnel 4.25 from the Build Service security:/Stunnel does not start, because the directory for the pid file (which is now located inside chroot) is missing. It must have write permissions for the stunnel user. When this directory exists, stunnel starts. It immediately creates 5 childs. When you stop stunnel with the init script, only the first process is killed, the childs survive. I think this is solved upstream in 4.26, see changelog: Version 4.26, 2008.09.20, urgency: MEDIUM: * New features o Win32 DLLs for OpenSSL 0.9.8i. o /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny no longer need to be copied to the chrooted directory, as the libwrap processes are no longer chrooted. o A more informative error messages for invalid port number specified in stunnel.conf file. o Support for Microsoft Visual C++ 9.0 Express Edition. * Bugfixes o Killing all libwrap processes at stunnel shutdown fixed. o A minor bug in stunnel.init sample SysV startup file fixed. Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
