http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619752 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619752#c0 Summary: Can't shutdown system; always reboots Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mcorino@remedy.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100626 SUSE/3.6.6-1.3 Firefox/3.6.6 Any way I try to shutdown the system (commandline with 'halt', KDE Shutdown or Suspend to disk option) always results in shutting down the running system but instead of powering off the system reboots. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Choose an option to shutdown the running system (f.i. run 'halt') 2. Wait to see the system shutting down 3. Wait to see the system reboot instead of powering off Actual Results: Reboot. Expected Results: Power off. I've updated my Precision M4500 (Core i7) from 11.2 to 11.3 RC2 today. I did not have this problem with 11.2 (at least as far as I can remember). It seems a similar (but not exactly the same) problem has been reported against RC1 in bug 617009. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
