https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=790398 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=790398#c0 Summary: Uninstalling logrotate says it will break things which is not true Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Curt.Blank@curtronics.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0 This has been going on for a long time but it's finally come to a head in 12.2. I don't use logrotate, I don't want to use logrotate. So when I went to uninstall it in 12.2 I got the usual popup warning me but this time instead of listing what it says it will break which is untrue and allowing to confirm once that yes go ahead like it used too, I had to do it a whole bunch of times. PITA logrotate should not have those dependencies that "it will break something" because it won't and if people don't want to use it that should be their choice. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Uninstall logrotate 2. 3. Actual Results: It did uninstall Expected Results: Be able to uninstall it easily. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
