https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=490817 Summary: Yast-Partitioner will not "label" a swap partition Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Greg.Freemyer@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009022800 SUSE/3.0.7-1.1.6 Firefox/3.0.7 I'm trying to "label" all my partitions and update fstab to reference them instead of /dev/sda style nomenclature. I'm trying to do it via the yast2-partitioner. Worked fine for a couple ext3 partitions, but when I tried to do the same for my swap partition, I get: Error Failure occurred during following action Setting label on /dev/sda1 to swap Error -3011 I assume /dev/sda1 is in use as my swap device, so maybe that is the issue? I consider this a relatively important bug because on every distro upgrade it advised me (and many others) to quite having /dev/sda style references in /etc/fstab and we need a simple way to implement that request. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.yast2 - partitioner 2. click + beside hard drives 3. click + beside /dev/sda 4. highlight my swap partition 5. click edit 6. click fstab options etc. Actual Results: Error -3011 Expected Results: label applied to the partition and fstab updated to reference this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
