Does this still happen? It looks the bug bitrot after such a long time :/.
It was still happening last month, when I was using the 6.0.10 kernel. I recently upgraded to 6.1.6, and have also tweaked some settings in the Intel driver to prevent screen tearing with my new monitor setup. I haven't yet encountered the screen blanking bug with this setup, but that might be a coincidence. I'll keep using my system for the next few days and report back if the problem recurs.
Has this been tested under Wayland? X attracts little attention these days. Esp. for intel drivers.
It doesn't happen with Wayland, but I can't use Wayland because it has too many annoying and/or showstopping bugs (pull-down and context menus appearing far from the mouse pointer, unable to restore certain applications minimized to the system tray, inability to share windows or screens with videoconferencing software such as Jitsi Meet, certain applications such as Zoom crashing on start, etc. ad nauseam). Jiri, why did you change the status of this bug to RESOLVED/UPSTREAM? Which upstream project had the bug resulting in this behaviour, and which commit fixed it? If there's a particular kernel I need to test, I will do so. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
