From the log, I found the openvpn already got DNS from server, and no obvious reason. so do you edit the /etc/resolv.conf by manual, and if you don't mind, could delete the /etc/resolv.conf, then connect to the wired/wireless network again, after that check 'cat /etc/resolv.conf', then connect to the vpn, after successful, check the /etc/resolv.conf again.
