https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=685255 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=685255#c0 Summary: After log-in Window Manager isn't started Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: cab902@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 If "Automatically remember running applications when logging out" was checked, on next log-in, WM will not be started. (Or maybe will crash after starting?) Windows will not have edge and cannot be moved. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Activate "Automatically remember running applications when logging out" 2. log out 3. log in Actual Results: Windows will not have head and edges and cannot be moved. WM isn't running. Expected Results: WM should be started and windows should move. The problem is somewhere in combination of gnome-session-save and compiz. The problem is that gnome-session-save saves info about compiz. And when GNOME tries to restore compiz during next log-in, something bad happens and WM crashes or is not started. If before log-in the .desktop file with data for compiz is deleted from config/gnome-session/saved-session is deleted, log-in is correct (WM is working). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
