Thanks. But I think the bug is reported before .. it's no harm to file more as this push people to fix harder. :) I am just in case that it takes your time doing this.
There is no openSUSE-12.2 bug yet (I searched only for 12.2 bugs, hence I did not find earlier reported bugs).
I add kernel parameters in the grub menu (in the /boot/grub/grub.conf file. I hope that is what you mean with grub's gfxmenu). I use video=LVDS-1:d, but you
No. I meant that you could directly add kernel parameters on (graphical) boot menu (either syslinux/isolinux and grub offered the capability). This allows you to test kernel parameters on the installation media (dvd/usb .. even they are readonly) directly without resorting to pxe boot ( I read from your report and not sure whether you setup pxe is only for the purpose of testing the kernel parameter .. this is not necessary but I may be wrong on understanding your intention, so Just For Your Information.)
I can't resort to the graphical boot menu, as the system does not want to start / boot from USB stick, external USB drive or a temporarely connected SATA DVD drive. It is impossible to see what goes wrong, but the result is, that only a network install is possible :( -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
