And I definitively do not have the time to haste after 6-months or 8-moths release cyles spending hours and days of efforts in order to get my configuration back into track - admitted, personal points. I would highly appreciate if software like TeX that does nor depend that much on graphical properties of the display nor on kernel attributes and having slow release cycles with regard to the binary part of the program would be kept buildable and useable for a prolonged amount of time (again, personal standpoint). I try to support things with my limited spare time capabilities - but I can only do this based on a rarely updated system - I plan my next update for 11.3. I wonder whether or not there are more people out there just using their system and depending on a prolonged stable period - my system is up 24x7. Again: nothing but personal issues, so what should I tell you :-)? After having seen the disaster with the very first kde 4.1 release of openSUSE 11.1 I'd say: slow down folks, test more thoroughly .... Just my two cents here ... probably time to switch to Debian? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
