It preferably happens when running 3D applications. I'm running Autdesk Inventor 2008 in a virtual machine (Virtualbox). Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run graphics intense application 2. sooner or later it will happen 3. Actual Results: X goes belly up, screen partially corrupted or totally black. Switching to a text console works sometimes. Only way out is using sysrq.
