https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=225724 Summary: yast2 inst_source: unable to add inst source ftp://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/10.2 Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: RC 5 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rommel@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com When trying to add the inst source hosting the kernel modules for the NVIDIA gfx cards ftp://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/10.2 you often get a warning saying that the repo is not signed or the signature is broken. In that cases yast2 inst_source displays some awkward keyid. I put some analysis into this. It seem that in some cases the ftp server is unwilling to perform (e.g. because of resources limit) which causes yast2 to misbehave. If using http instead of ftp I can not reproduce this behaviour. To reproduce use directly one of IPs listed for download.nvidia.com ("dig -t a download.nvidia.com" gives you a list) to eliminate potentials problems with round-robin. E.g. ftp://216.228.115.17/opensuse/10.2 Attaching screenshot and relevant y2log in a minute. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
