I can hear sound from earphone, not speakers. Front mic works. As suggested here http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Intel-HDA_sound_problems I did # head -n 1 /proc/asound/card0/codec* ==> /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 <== Codec: IDT 92HD71B7X ==> /proc/asound/card0/codec#1 <== Codec: LSI ID 1040 ==> /proc/asound/card0/codec#2 <== Codec: Generic 10de ID 6 then I looked for 92HD71B7X in /usr/src/linux-2.6.27.7-9/Documentation/sound/alsa/ALSA-Configuration.txt. I found STAC92HD71B* ref Reference board dell-m4-1 Dell desktops dell-m4-2 Dell desktops dell-m4-3 Dell desktops Then I modified /etc/modprobe.d/sound adding model=dell-m4-3 After that I could hear from the speaker, but then front mic and earphone were mute. I tried also model=laptop and model=hp-m4. Same story. I can't use both the frontal mic and the speaker at the same time as it was possible with openSUSE 11.0! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
