https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=380269 Summary: clear /etc/resolv.conf Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Alpha 3plus Platform: 64bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: pnemec@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- I am not sure if this is YaST network module problem or dhcp client problem. Please reassign. I have two network cards both set to accquire IP from DHCP. I use only one, but I switch cable regulary (testing purposes). Only one card get dhcp lease at time. But the other one which do not receive lease probably clear /etc/resolv.conf so network do not work at all Steps to reproduce: 1. set computer with two network card 2. put cable only in one card 3. Using YaST network module set both card to obtain IP from DHCP 3. Look into /etc/resolv.conf it is empty, but it should be filled with data from dhcp lease. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
