Open a shell, mount an encfs filesystem to a mountpoint. (encfs /data/crypt /mnt/1/ for example) 2. cd to mountpont (cd /mnt/1/) 3. run few ls in the directory until you wait to timeout encfs, and automatically umount the filesystem. 4. start an mc in this directory.
