https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=474115 Summary: Misleading Error in Non-Automated NFS Installation Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@virginbroadband.com.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-0.1 Firefox/3.0.5 During the Network Connection phase of a NON-Automated NFS Installation the Connection to the Internet Phase produces an error as an IPV4 connection is already established to connect with the NFS Server. Whilst the error can be ignored in respect to establishing an IP connection and the user can proceed, the 'failure' error message may be off putting and the installation may be terminated based on the error message. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start NFS Installation which is non-automated 2. Proceed as normal until Network Configuration phase of Installation is reached. 3. Error is self explanatory - however it could be further complicated by lack of External Internet connection whilst LAN IP/Server can be established. Actual Results: Error as in Detail Expected Results: No Error response in step 2 above and real error as in 3 above needs clarification and true impact on Installation to the user. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
