While 10.2 cryptsetup did setup /dev/mapper/test, it was bviously setup somehow differently because the last mount fails: # mount -t ext3 /dev/mapper/test /test mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/mapper/test, missing codepage or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so The syslog says: Jan 8 18:51:01 banshee kernel: VFS: Can't find ext3 filesystem on dev dm-22. Some there _are_ some incompatible changes after all.
