https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=679162 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=679162#c0 Summary: KpackageKit reinstalled removed applications Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: a.vankaam@chello.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=418994) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=418994) packagekit results User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux i686; U; en) Presto/2.7.62 Version/11.01 I enable my repositories in yast, so added packman and enabled/turned on autorefresh for the default opensuse 11.4 repo's. I removed a few packages via Yast that I do not want, in this example case: the pulseaudio packages. I downloaded an rpm for another package, in this example the opera browser. I right click the downloaded rpm and select open with install/remove software or kpackagekit, both have the same effect. kpackagekit opens and asks me if I want to install the opera rpm, I click install. It then tells me additional changes are required to complete the task, I don't really know what changes it is talking about as it does not show them, it still only shows the opera rpm and the message 1 package to install. I click continue and it asks for the root password (twice), then it starts to install and if I click details I see its reinstalling the packages I removed before (pulseaudio). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. clean install, enabled all the repo's 2. remove pulseaudio or nouveau 3. install another rpm like opera Actual Results: it reinstalls all the previously uninstalled packages Expected Results: it should just install the opera rpm -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
