Does this also happen with 11.1, maybe you still have a small partition for a test system or you could at least additionally install the latest kernel from here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/HEAD/i586 You need to install both, the -default-base and -default kernels. First will print you some errors at mkinitrd stage which are harmless. Best install them with: rpm -ivh kernel-default{,-base}.rpm Then you have the kernel additionally installed and you can still boot the 11.0 one. If this one works we will know that it's an already fixed kernel issue which would help a lot... Both above scenarios may already help a lot people to be able to work with their system again.
