Italicizing words underlines them instead. Incidentally, underlining words also underlines them as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find a file. 2. Select text. 3. Press M-o i. In org-mode, type slashes around text. Actual Results: The text will be underlined instead. Expected Results: italicized text If you start Emacs with site lisp disabled (`emacs -Q' in a terminal), then italics will work.
