https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=473673 Summary: missing luks script in mkinitrd- mkinitrd-2.4-34.2.src.rpm Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: harterc1@comcast.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-0.1 Firefox/3.0.5 I wanted to upgrade my kernel to linux-2.6.28.3. I installed that. Upon reboot I got an error from crypt for my luks filesystem. I went to Dcumentation/Changes in the kernel source tree. I found out that mkinitrd needed to be upgraded. I compiled mkinitrd-2.4-34.2.src.rpm to make a binary file. Upon running mkinitrd it failed to find a setup-luks.sh file which seems to be missing. This mkinitrd installed OK without any dependency problems. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. mkinitrd -d /dev/mapper/root -f " dm luks crypt" -k vmlinuz-2.6.28.3 -i initrd-2.6.28.3 2. 3. Actual Results: can't find the setup-luks.sh file root:~>ls /lib/mkinitrd/setup/21-luks.sh -al lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 Feb 7 12:56 /lib/mkinitrd/setup/21-luks.sh -> ./scripts/setup-luks.sh Expected Results: no errors on running mkinitrd -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
