Hi Rainer,
Would you please provide these command output for reference ?
sudo lsblk -f sudo hexdump -C /boot/grub2/grubenv
Btw. Is running `shim-install` helps to step over the blue screen ?
Prior to receive your request, I updated grub2 to 2.04-lp152.7.18.2 (update available 20201119), and, after reboot, this issue was (apparently) solved and grub2 took my default boot option, which was left unchanged. ================================= AFTER UPDATE: ================================== lsblk -f NAME FSTYPE LABEL UUID FSAVAIL FSUSE% MOUNTPOINT loop0 squashfs 0 100% /snap/core/10126 loop1 squashfs 0 100% /snap/core18/1932 loop2 squashfs 0 100% /snap/core/10185 loop3 squashfs 0 100% /snap/spotify/43 loop4 squashfs 0 100% /snap/core18/1885 loop5 squashfs 0 100% /snap/spotify/42 sda sda1 vfat 568B-0ABB 492M 2% /boot/efi sda2 crypto_LUKS c068fb96-46f2-4149-aa8c-5d76c4cf4f92  cr_ata-ST1000LM035-1RK172_ZDEBL5SW-part2 swap fa14557f-7014-42a6-aa36-fd78b40ad145 [SWAP] sda3 crypto_LUKS e968d9a0-4ddd-4d9d-b5c3-1fbcba0b2a23  cr_ata-ST1000LM035-1RK172_ZDEBL5SW-part3 btrfs 73be56bc-3351-4d03-8b3e-b3b3ae0733d9 18.6G 51% / sda4 crypto_LUKS 3c061ab2-0ff1-41ae-b624-18146cdd1684 cr_ata-ST1000LM035-1RK172_ZDEBL5SW-part4 xfs 300a99be-afb6-4551-b604-0cf76931ae9d 383.8G 57% /home hexdump -C /boot/grub2/grubenv has no output. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
