Hmm. I'm not sure if this is still being used by anyone. Is there a concrete issue resulting of this? Also you should know that X (is/has been) used on more systems than Linux/glibc.

I think it would be the best to report it upstream as issue on https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libx11/-/issues
