https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=278603 Summary: Network Manager: special characters in ESSID not processed correctly Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 4plus Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: casualprogrammer@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Continued from Bug 268277 When an AP is using special characters in its essid, Network Manager displays %s as the network name in the password dialogue ( and possibly elsewhere ). This is upstream as it happens in other distros as well ( Fedora 7 rc2, Sabayon ). See attachment (id=134519) of Bug 268277 for details. It doesn't seem to keep Network Manager from connecting, at least not the first time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
