http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=588895 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=588895#c0 Summary: Scroll wheel doesn't follow cursor when changing values and combo boxes Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sbellerby12@yahoo.com QAContact: cwei@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091222 SUSE/3.5.7-1.1 Firefox/3.5.7 Using OpenOffice.org 3.2 on openSUSE 11.1, when I try to change a value (like a page margin) or a combo box (like a line style) with the scroll wheel, the value that will change is whatever field presently has focus. What this used to do is follow the cursor so I could just move it over what I wanted to change. Now a click is required for every single change, which is much slower. No other programs are behaving this way, which makes it inconsistent. The problem only occurred after I updated to the 3.2 series, and only in OpenOffice. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: One Example (behavior occurs in numerous areas, basically everything that should have a scrollable changeable value): 1.Open OpenOffice.org Writer 2.Go to Format > Page 3.Attempt to scroll while only hovering over different margins WITHOUT clicking on them. Actual Results: Because the focus starts on the type of page, that will change when you scroll regardless of where the cursor is (if the default point of focus is different when attempting to reproduce this, it will be at that default, the default just happens to be the kind of page on mine) Expected Results: If the cursor is over another value, it will change that one instead (if I hover over the top margin and scroll it will change the top margin, if I then move the cursor from over the top margin value to the horizontal page size value, it will change that if I scroll again) I'm assuming this is a bug due to the fact that OpenOffice.org used to behave this way but no longer does, every other application (also all installed through openSUSE repositories) behaves this way though so it seems like OpenOffice.org SHOULD do this but isn't for some reason. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
