Hello
package python-veusz currently fails to build in Leap 15.5
We would like to have it fixed prior to the RC build in April. See details at https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Roadmap
here's the build log https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15- SP5/python-veusz/standard/x86_64
[ 99s] + /usr/bin/python3 setup.py build '--executable=/usr/bin/python3 -s' [ 100s] Traceback (most recent call last): [ 100s] File "setup.py", line 35, in <module> [ 100s] import pyqtdistutils [ 100s] File "/home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/veusz-3.4/pyqtdistutils.py", line 15, in <module> [ 100s] from sipbuild.code_generator import set_globals, parse, generateCode [ 100s] ImportError: cannot import name 'parse' [ 100s] error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.vqylxP (%build)
I am afraid the package no longer supports python 3.6. From the changelog: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sat Sep 24 18:42:31 UTC 2022 - Atri Bhattacharya <badshah400@gmail.com> - Make builds for openSUSE < 1550 unresolvable rather than failing by requiring python >= 3.8 for builds. Perhaps we should drop this from 15.5, or revert to older veusz version 3.4 (same as in Leap 15.4). Sorry for the delay. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
