https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=471863 Summary: Kick start menu Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Usability AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: internux@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121622 Linux Mint/6 (Felicia) Firefox/3.0.5 I am a proud user of opensuse since 1998. I have a little problem to use kickstart menu, since it is using too much mouse click. We have to click it everytime we enter a submenu. If we enter a wrong submenu, again we have to click to go back to the parent menu. I have just installed Linux mint, and I found the heaven of the menu stucture. Since linux is opensource and GPL, please don't mind to have a try to linux mint (gnome version), and take a look to the menu. It is nearly same implementation as opensuse KDE Kickstart menu, but without clicking. We only have to click twice to open an application: * One to click the menu button * one click to open the application If it is better, why don't we adopt it. We can use the same menu style, both on opensuse KDE and opensuse GNOME. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Just instal opensuse, and compare it with linux mint 2. 3. Actual Results: inefficient menu style Expected Results: nice menu and efficient. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
