https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=328870#c328822 Summary: Libzypp should retry download after timeout Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: unspecified Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: lslezak@novell.com ReportedBy: locilka@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: dmacvicar@novell.com Depends on: 328822 Found By: --- +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #328822 +++ .. Similarly, upon timeout Yast always shows a dialog which asks you if you want to retry. This is useless if you are trying to install something _without_ human supervision, e.g. over night online installation: Yast will wait forever instead of just retrying. Why not make this a dialog that will count down automatically and then retry downloading unless "Cancel" is pressed? We already have this kind of dialog when a reboot is required during installation. --- In my opinion, this could be somehow configurable. Anyway, countdown+automatic retry makes sense only for "timeout" or other HTTP/FTP-related issues. It doesn't make sense to retry automatically, when error occurs during an RPM installation, of course :) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
