This is not the first time apper has run, but is the first time this "package not found" error was seen, but in my case believe it was after authorizing installation of updates and <before> actual installation (didn't notice if any updates had actually begun downloading). However, although it <might> have been afterwards as others have reported since surprisingly apper completed the update installations almost immediately after I acknowledged the "package not found." I'm speculating a bit if apper is multi-threaded perhaps the updates continued to be installed in the background and were not blocked by the displayed error. Checked the "messages" log and found no error, only the successful start of apper.
