Sometimes both cores are updated, sometimes only CPU0, sometimes only CPU1. After manually reloading microcode also the second core is updated: dmesg | grep microcode [ 22.386048] microcode: CPU0 sig=0x10676, pf=0x80, revision=0x60c [ 40.079513] firmware microcode: firmware_loading_store: unexpected value (0) [ 40.079578] microcode: CPU1 sig=0x10676, pf=0x80, revision=0x60c [ 40.081008] microcode: CPU1 updated to revision 0x60f, date = 2010-09-29 [ 40.086664] microcode: Microcode Update Driver: v2.00 <tigran@aivazian.fsnet.co.uk>, Peter Oruba rmmod microcode;modprobe microcode [ 2614.788855] microcode: Microcode Update Driver: v2.00 removed.
