I've tried 11.3 M7 on 5 or 6 machines now, desktops, laptop, netbook and panel PC with only this one showing the bug, I saw nothing similar on the factory ML. At least the problem is now documented in bugzilla and - I hope - if it bites in the future people will see the workaround in comment#16.
