Starting an xterm from vt02: It could receive keyboard events. Restarting kwin from that xterm: Window resizing worked for a while; Thunderbird started to react upon mouse events; restarting kicker: Still no reaction on keyboard and mouse events by any other program Issuing dcop ksmserver ksmserver logout 0 0 0 from vt02 the logout was performed without problems.
