Well, HPC software is 'kind of special' in some cases. For HPC packages we do not do any libversion dependencies, which is clearly wrong, so far I've not found the time to extend the dependency generator however. .so-version dependencies are clearly also not sufficient as this example shows as the libhdf5 libs have not changed their versions.
