KDE 3.5 on 11.4, produced by: -installing 11.3 Minimal-X from DVD. -updating, then adding KDE3 repo (11.3's) and installing basic packages. -change to a different icon theme from kde-looks. -deactivate all 11.3 repos, activate 11.4 repos including 11.4's kde3, select "upgrade all packages". -after successful install, reboot, KControl.desktop produces blank left side (always). -using "icons.desktop", change icon theme from previous kde-looks icon theme to "Crystal SVG"; all OK. -invoke "icons.desktop"; comes up indicating "Crystal SVG" is in use; changing to "Crystal SUSE" immediately produces KDE Crash Handler with Backtrace: System configuration startup check disabled. () Other test installs of 11.4/KDE3 (both x86 and x64), without changing from default themes installs, have produced a KDE crash handler for KControl.desktop invocation, or icons.desktop (always). Sorry, but those test systems are no longer on my PC. I tried to use GBD, and got "exec-file kcmshell icons" to work/start (well, at least it returned a new GDB line without error), but I can't seem to invoke the switch (up one line) from SVG to SUSE icon selection that induces the crash using the GUI. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
