Configurated to be used with network manager. (ifup/ifdown is not a normal solution for me. :/ Not for wifi!)
Sure, but it would be good to know where the problem is.
rfkill list all 0: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: yes
Now the the wifi is "Hard blocked" with the switch.
Now i turn on the wifi and activate it on network manager: iwconfig <snip> rfkill list all 0: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no
You turned the wifi on and it is no more "Hard blocked" but it is "Soft blocked". I believe this is a network manager (NM) bug in rfkill handling. NM sets wrong state to the Soft rfkill. The same way you can switch the wifi on/off with the switch a program can switch the wifi on/off via API. In this point if you issue # rfkill unblock all <enter> the wifi starts working.
Network manager says that "the device is not ready" and still not list the APN near me.
Now the problem is clear, thank you for the information. I have to ask to re-assign to maintainer of the NetworkManager. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
