https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=233017 Summary: snd-8.4-33: local variable used before set Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dcb314@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I just tried to compile package snd-8.4-33 with the Intel C compiler. The compiler said audio.c(2943): warning #592: variable "level" is used before its value is set The source code is mus_snprintf(audio_strbuf, PRINT_BUFFER_SIZE, "OSS version: %x.%x.%x\n", (level >> 16) & 0xff, (level >> 8) & 0xff, level & 0xff); I agree with the compiler. Local variable level only gets assigned to if preprocessor macro NEW_OSS is defined. Suggest initialise local variable "level" at its declaration. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
